How to Link Your BVN to Other Existing Bank Accounts Without Visiting Your Bank


This is for those who have already registered for BVN in another bank and wish to link it to other bank account they have with other bank. Following the recently introduced centralized biometric Identification system launched by the Central Bank of Nigeria, tagged “Bank Verification Number”, it has become compulsory for all customers to have their personal details secured with the use of this verification number to avoid security breaches.


Note: Only customers with BVN will have a unique identity across the Nigerian Banking industry. It will be use for easy identification and verification at Point of Banking operations.


It will interest you to know that you can now link your Bank Verification Number details from another Nigerian bank to your existing accounts in other banks without having to visit the bank.

How to Link Your BVN to Other Existing Bank Accounts
Follow the procedures below to link your Bank Verification Number details to your existing bank accounts,

To Link your BVN with your Existing GTBank Account: Like i said in one of my previous posts, to link your Bank Verification Number details to your existing GTBank accounts is very easy and fast. Just make use of any of GTBanks’ ATMs nationwide, Internet Banking platform or visit the BVN linking portal on GTBank website to complete your request. Click Here and here, for further details.

To Link your BVN with your Existing First Bank Account: Text BVN#Account Number#BVN Code to 0807 666 4444.

To Link your BVN with your Existing Zenith Bank Account.: Just Log in to your internet banking page and follow the given instructions for linking.

To Link BVN with your Existing Diamond Bank Account
Simply send your BVN to enquiries@diamondbank.com or an SMS to 30811.
To Link your BVN with your Existing keystone Bank Account
Log in to your internet banking page and follow the given instructions for linking.

To Link your BVN with your Existing United Bank for Africa Bank Account

Send your BVN (with the phone line you used to open the account) to short code number *919*6#

To Link your BVN with your Existing Access Bank Account
Text your BVN and account number to 20121 or fill out this online form.
